NEWS & FEATURES The Yearbook Mystery... Where have all our yearbooks gone? lems with Nexus, UPEI’s yearbook- specifically, the fact that some of the yearbooks are late. In fact, there has not been a yearbook printed on time for several years. Bev Doucette, the current editor, explained that the previous editor (Sherryl O’ Hanley) had recently resigned after finishing the 1992-1993 yearbook. The problems actually began with O’Hanley’s predecessor, Dawn Ambler, who had taken on too much and was unable to finish the yearbooks produced during her employ- ment. These yearbooks were sent to the printers in a partially completed state before Ambler’s departure, and have begun to arrive as the printers finish them and then print them. Doucette stresses that the late yearbooks will be arriving, and says notices will be issued when they come. Until then, she hopes students will be patient. This year’s book has had a slow start. The current staff are all new, which caused some delays in starting work. The staff is now trying to get photos from the fall sports before it is too late. The editor is also planning to get in contact with clubs on campus regarding their inclusion in this year’s book. Ms. Doucette emphasizes that there are staff positions open for ,applicants, including the photographer position. She also needs volun- teers to take photos, write stories and to work on layouts. Anyone interested is asked to get in touch with the Yearbook office. As of yet there are no regular staff meetings, but Ms. Doucette hopes to have them by the end of this month.
