     The Security police 
     
     would like to thank the 
     
     students for the co-op- 
     
     eration they have shown 
     
     concerning parking on 
     
     campus. A parking comm- 
     
     ittee was named by the 
     
     senate which was organ- 
     
     ized to deal with com- 
     
     plaints regarding appeals 
     
     and penalties. There are 
     
     five members on this comm- 
     
     ittee, facalty, staff, 
     
     administration all have 
     
     one member and the student 
     
     body is represented by 
     
     two members. 
     
    

    
     It has been requested 
     
     that any member of the 
     
     university or anyone 
     
     concerned with the parking 
     
     facilities would co-operate 
     
     by marking items of value 
     
     in the car with identifi- 
     
     cation or lack the car. 
     
     Both measures should be 
     
     taken. Over the past 
     
     a number of items taken 
     
     from parked vehicles 
     
     located in different areas 
     
     consisted of stereos, stero 
     
     tapes and speakers. 
     
    
   
   
    
     The Department on one or 
     
    
   
   
    
     more occations have impound- 
     
     ed vehicles and have detain- 
     
    
   
   
    
     ed unauthorized university 
     
     personal due to lack of 
     
     identification of stolen 
     
     articles. These people 
     
     were realeased and goods 
     
     could not be given back 
     
     to rightful owners due to 
     
     lack of proof. 
     
    

    
     The Department are 
     
     also asking students who 
     
     find articles around the 
     
     university area to please 
     
     turn them over to a Secur- 
     
    

    
     ity force member or to 
     
     the office. So far the 
     
     honesty of the students is 
     
    
   
   
    
     “complimented, since many 
     
     items are turned in un- 
     
     harmed. Another reasonable 
     
     request to the students 
     
    

    
     is to report to Security if 
     
     any suspicious looking 
     
    
   
   
    
     strangers are seen on campus 
     
     so that it may be checked to 
     
    
   
   
    
     see if any assistance could 
     
     be given.
