Hospital , y Ladies Aid iioid Annual Meeting The annual meeting of the La- dles' Aid of the Prince Edward Island Hospital was held at the Cundall Home on Monday, Jan- uary 7th, with on attendance of thirty-five members. The president. Mrs. Gordon Avard. presided and opened the meeting with the Lord's Prayer. repeated in unison. The pres- ident then extended a' welcome to Mrs. J. Walter Jones. the hon- orary president. and to Mrs. J. K. I.. Irwin and five members of the Junior Aid. who were guests at the meeting. The minutes of the previous monthly and annual meetings were read by the secretary and adopt- ed. A comprehensive report about the arrangements for the turkey supper to be held January 30th. was given by Mrs. J. W. Mac- Kenzie and tickets were distribut- ed io the members. Letters were read from Miss Anne Molr thanking the Aid for their remembrance at Christmas. and from Mrs. Minnie Lea How- iiit, who kindly contributed to the Gift Cabinet at the Hospital. A report of the Dccortfting Committee for the Christmas trays was given by Mrs. Erskine Mac- Null. This committee consisted of Mrs. MacNuli, Mrs. G. E. Hart- len. Mrs. VV. T. Rogers, Mrs. F. A. S. Jones. and Mrs. Gordon Fos- ter. These ladies were thanked by the president for the artistic and original decorations they had made to help the patients enjoy their Christmas. The president. in presenting her annual report, reviewed the activ- ities of the past year. Eight meetings were held and several new members were welcomed. During the year a Gift. Cabinet was installed at the Hospital: a turkey slipper was held in Jan- uary; Tag Day took place Easter Saturday; in May the Aid made nrrangcmenis for the Nurses' Graduation: and in October a Rummage Sale was held. All the committees. members of the executive. and members of the Aid were thanked by the president for their loyal support during the year. The irczisurer's annual report showed ll balance of 5879.86 less a cheque for 5100.00 outstanding. Annual reports were given by Mrs. W. E. Cotton for the Buy- ing Committee; Mrs. A. B.
