The first Ys club was organized in Toledo, Ohio, in 1920. Mr. Powell spoke of the special work being done locally by Claude Whitenect, Youth Director, Alton Dolliver, Young Adult Service Director for the Region and George Burgess in connection with the stamp collection records. He also stressed the honour brought to the Maritimes through the es- tablishment and growth to In- ternational proportions of the Bishop Stamp Fund inaugurated by E.D. Bell of Charlottetown. In announcing that “Centenni- al” would be host club atbthe Re- gional Convention on May 24, Mr. Powell congratulated the club on the distinction which has fallen to the members for the first time.
