Clarke occurred at his home in Wilmot Valley on August 4th. Several zpeka the midst of apparent good health. He was taken to the Prince County Hospital. His condition im- proved steadily enabling him to return home. A short time later he suffered a cerebral hemorr- hage and passed away peacefully. The lats Mr. Clarke. who was in his seventy-fourth year. was the yougfest son in the family of elev- en the late Charles Clarke and his wife the late Margaret Lefur- gey. Wilmot Valley. He was an in- duatrious and successful farmer in the community. Quiet and re- tiring by nature. he loved his home and family and in later years rarely left it. His wife Ethel Walker prede- ceased him eleven years ago. He leaves to mourn the loss of akind and loving father. five sons and three daughters. They are the fol- Scott. Kelvin; David, Kenneth. at home; Ralph, New Glasgow, N.S.: Kath- erine (Mrs. Darrell Picketts); Marjorie iMrs. Elmer Waugh); both of Wilmot Valley: Gladys (Mrs. Charles Drewett) Halifax. N.S. There are thirteen grand- children. Also surviving are four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Eliz- abeth Harding.
