DOCTORS PRONOUNCED HIS CASE INCUR- ABLE-NOW COMPLETELY CURED. Clarke’s Kola Compound has brought more genuine iappiness to thousands of Canadian homes than any ther medicine ever known. It is curing Asthma, a lisease hitherto considered incurable, and bringing rerfect health to thousands of one-time sufferers from his most dreaded disease. Mr. Matthew Frost, of Port Arthur, Ont., C.P.R. ‘mployee, writes: ‘‘ For over seven years I have been t most unfortunate sufferer from asthma and bron- hitis. Many times for weeks I could not sleep other han sitting up in a chair, and for three months previous o taking Clarke’s Kola Compound I could not work a lay. The wolves par- ticularly are so numerous and fearless that no winter passes without a great many lives being lest. All Chinese villages are surrounded by mud_ walls for protection from bandits and prowling animals, and it is customary to paint large white rings en these mud walls in order to frighten the wolves away. The Chinese explain that the wolves either take the rings to be traps, which they avoid or else to be the risiag sun which causes them to slink back to their lairs. During the summer the Chinese villagers are too much engaged in gathering their crops to attempt much in the line of exter- minating the pests. But wolf hunts are quite common in the winters, Tre villagers beat out the fields and drive the wolves into pits or Caves, where they are dispatched with swords and pikes. It isa common thing in all parts of China even the most thickly populated, to see wolves trotting along the roads or crossing from cover to cover, The reason that foxes are so numer- ous is that the Chinese, who believe in the transmigration of souls think that human spirits prefer to go into foxes rather than into any other ani mal. Consequently they never kill ‘oxes for fear they may be injunng some departed spirit. —There will be a convention of the Eldon Sunday School District in the Baptist Church at Hazelbrook on Thnrsday afternoon and evening, November 29th.
