McDonald, father of the injured capfain, in his let# ter to the Chronicle, expzesses grati_ tude for the timely rescue of his son and the subsequent kind treatment which he and his crew received at the hands of the officers of the Aberdeen and Mr. Hutchins. who was on board at the time. Capt. McDonald says he . feels sure that had the Aberdeen not borne down on the disabled vessel at that particular time, no would have been spared to tell the talc.
