Another candidate Next Monday night, February 4 will see the advent of the next candidate for the position of President of UPEI. Dr. John D. Morgan has held teaching posts at Loyola University in Montreal and at King’s College in London, Ontario. He has been principal of the latter since 1977. Morgan speaks at 8 p.m. in Duffy Amphitheatre, and will meet with groups of students and faculty during his two-day visit. ' The topic of his lecture on Monday will be “Canadian Universities: Their Problems”. A new Doc A new doctor, Dr. Christine Veale, starts work next Tuesday at the Health Centre in the basement of Marian Hall. Nurse Sharon Mullin says Veale will be-on campus each Tuesday for the rest of the term “from ten o’clock to when- ever.” Veale joins the other doctors Doug Tweel (Mondays 10:30 to 12), Brodie Lantz (Thursdays, 10:30 to 12), and Ken Coady (Fridays 9:30 to 11). Bernardine Hall ' bursary An award of $500 will be made in conjunction with other bursaries awarded from the Memorial Bursary Fund to an applicant who: 1) is a Junior or Senior female student living in Bernardine Hall and has lived there for at least two years. 2) has an average of 70% or better in last semester’s work 3) writes a personal essay about what she has participated in during her years in Bernardine Hall — i.e. how she has helped promote residence spirit. . Selection will be made by the ScholafShip and Awards Committee and two people from Counselling Services. Applications must be received in the Registrar’s Office by February 8, 1985.
