Music for danc- ing was supplied by Mr. Lance Dalton and Mrs. Calerldge Ro- gers. - Mr. Elmer Griffin, Brockton. suffered a. considerable loss when a barn and several smaller bulld- ings on his Bloomfield farm burn- ed to the ground on Monday night. It was thought that the house would burn too but the many peo- ple who were assembled there managed to prevent it from catching aflre. Aid was sought from the fire station In Alberton but it did not get there in time to save the buildings. Cause,of the fire is unknown. The residents of this commun- ity are pleased that the road has been widened and graded to the Western Road. It is hoped that a new bridge will be built in the near future. This has been a long ways been a bottle neck in spring and winter. -BB.
