Armour of this City reported in yester- day’s Guardian:-Mrs. William Russell, who lives at Lakeville, parish of Moncto`n,' T near Painsec Junction, was terribly bur- ned while alone at her hdme Tuesday af- ternoon. She made a fire in the yard, to' burn some 01:1 rubbish, and in some un- explained rnanner her clothing caught tire, and she was terribly burned from her waist to her ankles. Her hands were also severely burned by the frantic woman in trying to tear the clothing off herself. After her clothes caught tire Mi-s.'Russell drew three buckets of water from the well and threw over herself, the clothes being ablaze all the while, her flesh be- low the waist being burned to a crisp Mrs. Russell’s husband and grandson, who llve with hcr, were away at the time working on the railway truck. The house is some distance from any other in the locality and Mrs. Russcll's misfortune was unnoticed by any of the neighbors. After the clothe! had been practically burned of her, she managed to crawl to thehouso and proceed upstairs to get something with which to cover her, self. Finally some of the neluhbors heard ‘ her screams and ran to her assistance. Dr. White was hastily summoned from Hone- ton and did everything possible to relieve hor suiiering but no hopes are entertained of her recovery. As may be seen by The Guan-dion’s despatches today Hrs. Russell has since die d. The Guardian extends its CUNSTIPATIUN.
