In gratitude to the Army for establishing in Charlottetown an Eventide Home, which will soon be operating and filling a long felt want in this Province, the executive accepted a quota of nine thousand dollars; fifty per cent more than in previous Years. As will be seen from a list appearing else- where in this paper over twelve thousand has been subscribed, making this the most success- ful Campaign cver iaged for the Salvation Army on Prince Edward Island. To the Women's Institutes throughout the Province goes the credit for most, of the collect- ing done in the rural areas. ‘In Summersiiie an exceptionally fine job was performed by the Y's Men's Club under the chairmanship of Horace MacFariane, President of the Summer-side Y's Men's Club. In Charlottetown one hundred and fifty workers under the Veteran Campaigner. N. W. Lowiher ably assisted by J. C. Montgomery staged a whirlwind campaign in which they sur- passed their quoia in one day. To the Women's Institutes, Red Cross Soc- ieties, School Teachers and all organizations and individuals who in any way helped to make this Campaign the success it was,‘ we offer our sincere thanks and appreciation.
