B, had an ex- perience a few nighta ago that he will not be apt to forget in some time, During the evening he met some friends, with whom he had several drinks and became quite exhilirated. Afterwards he was jomed by two suldiers, who supplied him with a bottle and induced him to take a walk up Maryland road. Under the influence of the aforesaid bottle, the jubilant farmer soon forgot himself in a heavy slumber by the way-side, from which he did not awake till early the next morning He then dis- covered that two gold watches and other valuables which he remembered having were missing. He at once put the case in the hands of a detective, who, in a few hours, traced the watches to the soldiers and caused their arrest. The farmer was so well pleased to recover his property that he declined to prosecute, and the prisoners were released. sac nay Personal.
