Tragic Accident At Suinmerside A tragic sequel to the visit of the circus to Summersicle occurred cu Saturday when Elzier Bloc. qulcre, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alban Blecquiere was found dead in the basement of his home with a rope around his neck and the end tied to a pipe running along the ceiling. The boy had been playing by himself. His mother, in the course of prepar- ing the dinner for the family, went to the cellar for potatoes and her eyes met the horrifying sight of her son in an upylght position hanging from a rope. I-lis toes just touched the floor so it is assumed that the rope tight- ened on ills neck and clicked him. Mrs. Blacquiere immediately cut the rope, but it was too late, her scn was dead. The Coroner was crilled and decided that no in- quest would be necessary. It is be- lieved by the parents and friends oi the family that the young lad was trying to imitate some of the arrobatlc stunts he hail seen at the circus the day before. He was the eldest of a family of eight children and the home is at the corner of Park and North Market Ssreets. Mi. Blacqulere is ein- plovcd at thc Siimmerside Airport.
