The quarterly meeting of the Charlotte, town Board of Trade was held last even- President Haszard in the chair. After the reading of the minntes and cor- respondence, the following resolutions were passed, 1. A man uamed Pontia disguised himself with @ mask and went out masquerading in female clothing. One house entered by him coniained ouly @ half-w: tied individual who eppeared terribly frightened at the strange appari- tion and took ap an axe to fight it, with the resnit that Pontin was grievouely wounded and left lying bleeding and in- sensible on the fleor.
