When siic discovered that her time on earth would soon terminate she was perfectly resigned to the will of Him who doeth all things well. Shortly before she died she bid ii fend good bye to her- father, mother, brothers and sisters and to those about her death bed. The funeral which took place Monday was largely attended. The service wusfconducted by the Rev. D.MoLcan. The pall bearers were Murdock Kennedy, George Morrison, James Doyle, Robert Todd, James Dixon, and Hugh McLure. ONE of the uorst accidents for some time in the I. C. R. yard, took place at 12.35 this morning, when engine No. 237, attached to the fast express, was derail- ed in front of the new station. The train was half an hour late. and was ,iustslowlngdowii in front of the sta- tion, whcn the forward truck left the rails, the engine stiiggereil along, and then left the rails altogether, dragging the tender and the baggage car with if. It plowed along for about thirty-yards, and then stopped and toppled almost on its side, sinking thc wheels on the right liaiiii sidcdcep into the earth, A shunt- ing engine on the next track narrowly escaped being struck. The track from where the engine went oil' to where it stopped, is badly torn up, the sleepers beingsniaslied,aiid the rails bent and twisted. It is not known what caused the accident. The engine was in charge of Driver Jolm Colllson ami Fireman Muidoeh Mclntosh. Conductor Ruther- ford \\'as in charge of the train. No one was hurt. No. 237 is the notorious "lioorioo"englne. She was formerly No. 23iJ,anil has ii rceord of about half a dozen men killed and maimed.
