Longworth Esq., of Hillhurst, city. While out in the afternoon Mrs. Longworth was taken ill in the Bank of Nova. Scotia. Restoratives were given and after an hour she recover- ed sufficiently to be removed to her home. The improvement, howe ver, was not permanent and during .the afternoon it was evident that. t-he curtain of death was falling and the end not far distant. Despite all that science and tender musing could accomplish her_ spirit winged its flight at the ushering in of the evening hour. Mrs. Longwortlfs death, especially under such sad circumstance s, has therefore brought forth expressions of sympathy not only from the immediate friends but from citi- zens in general, who have tendered con- dolence aud sympathy to Mr. Lcngworth, and his bereaved family. .The deceased lady was a daughter of the late Hon.
