Prince ward island and Newfoundland was 5.6 per cent higher last year than in 1962, compared with a 6.3 per cent rise in all Canada. New capacity in the pulp and paper industry helped boost pulnwood outrut by 17.7 per cent, the greatest jump in re. cent years. compared with a Canadian gain of 4.1 per cent. Newsprint production rose .7 per cent while the national out- put fell by 0.9 per cent. 3. Iron shipments jumped 27.3 per cent 5 new mines came into operation in Labra- dor.
