Hatrrax, May 18, Sir Edward Kenny died here on Satur- diy, aged 91. _ Sic Edward was born in Kerry, Ireland, in the year 1800. He came to Halifax in 1824. He was for upwards of sixty years a leading representative of the Roman Catholics of Halifax, and was called to the Privy Council of Canada in 1867, appointed Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia in 1870, and knighted in 1872. He has lived in retirament for several years past. In Chase of the Itata. New York, May 18. The Americxa warship Charleston, and the Chilian man of-war, Eemeralda, are both lying in Acapalco Harbor. Formal interview took place between the captains on Saturday. The Esmeralda captain declared that the Charleston should never take the Itata until the Esmeralda was sunk. Another Murder. New York, May 18, Another murder mystery has been dis- covered in this city, the body of a woman wished ashore at Staten Islaud with a heavy stone attached to it.
