Prince Edward Island has no team here but 29 athletes and coaches have come from New Brunswick. Nova Scotla and New- foundland. In all 150-odd repres- entmiz nine proviences are attend- ing the school. Lectures on sprints. relays and M311 Jumping were given by Don Canham, track and field coach at Michigan University, and Bruce Humber of Victoria. B.C., coach of Canadais teams in the last Olym- D10 and British Empire games. Canham told the assembled ath- letes that lack of pre-season train- ing was the big factor hampering Canadian track and field. Rev. Bob Rociards of Long Beach Calif. the world's champion pole vauiter will arrive Wednesday to join the coaching staff. Wes Santy, well know United States miler. is also expected to give a talk during the week. The training plan is being built around the youth of the country and the school will be held for four years. costing an estimated 380.000.
