Captains commanding Companies of Volunteer Militia are held responsible that, prior to com- mencing firing, the red or danger flag is hoisted and that a similar flag shall, from the markers’ butts. give notice to cease firing whenever a boat or stray cattle are seen ap- proaching the range—The firing. is also to be suspended on any intimation to. that effect from the shipyard.—-—All firing is to take place under the command of responmhle Officers.
