      The
      UPEI
      Theatre
      Society
      invites
      proposals
      from
     
     
      students
      intereested
      in
      producing
      and
      directing
      a
     
     
      play
      during
      the
      winter
      semester.
      The
     
     
      student-directed
      productions
      are
      performed
      in
      Duffy
     
     
      Amphitheatre.
      Casting
      and
      rehearsals
      should
      begin
     
     
      in
      January,
      and
     
    

    
     
      the
      play
      should
      be
      performed
      in
      mid
      or
      late
      March,
     
     
      or
      early
      April.
      The
      Theatre
      Society
      will
      provide
      a
     
     
      modest
      budget
      for
      the
      student
      director.

      IODE
      Scholarship
     
    
   
   
    
     
      The
      Provincial
      Chapter
      of
      IODE
      has
      established
      a
     
     
      yearly
      Scholarship
      which
      is
      available
      to
      an
      Island
     
     
      resident
      entering
      Sophomore
      year
      at
      UPEI.
      It
      is
     
     
      awarded
      firstly,
      on
      the
      basis
      of
      good
      academic
     
     
      achievement,
      and
      secondly
      on
      financial
      need.
      It
      is
     
     
      payable
      to
      UPEI
      for
      the
      tuition
      fees
      for
      the
      second
     
     
      semester,
      beginning
      in
      January.
