EARLY yesterday morning the death oc-
lcurred at Freelowh of one of the oldest
and mfst respected residents of that
neghborhood in the person of Robert
Cairns. Deceased had always enjoyed
good health and retired Thursday night
ever he arose uuweil, walked to a portion
of the house, got adrink of water and
called to his son Alexander, and in less
than an hour death came. I he late Mr.
Cairns was a native of Dumfries, Scot-
land, a:d had been a resident ofFreetown
sons and four daughters namely: John C.
