They complain that while importations of sugar to the United States from Cuba amount to $50,000,000, the exports of American flour amount to only $300,000, although the Spanish islands consume twelve million dollars’ worth. It is believed that the United States Government can obtain (im- portant concessions from Spain by reducing the duty on sugars imported from Cuba and Porto Rico. —Mail. _—- re - aeC— Supreme Court. Tue Courr met at 11 o'clock to-day. In the case of the Queen at the prosecution of John F. MeKay vs. Cathrine Lannan, Ellen Lannan and Jane Mcinnis, the Grand Jury returned a true bill for larceny against Ellen Lannan and Jane McInnis but not aginst Cathrine Lannan. A true bill was also found against Frederick Davy for as- sault. In the case of David Hooper against Samuel Coles, an absent debtor, the Jury returned a verdict of $80 for the plaintiff.
