Shipwreck on Scotland’s
Coast.

March lst 1890. the Dominion liner
Labrador was wrecked on the coast of
Scotland but all hands were saved.
When tho ship s`trueir, George Brand-
iord, s cattle man, wrote o note record-
irig the fiet and placed it in s bottle
which he threw overboard.
The letter was addressed to the Mon-
treal Star and turned up today. It was
picked up in Hermitage Bay, Newfound-
land, on August 17th.
In tivo years the bottle had drifted
across the Atlantic the distance being
sixteen hundred miles in a straight line.
