a: 5 As readers of the SUN wi ll see, this week has been a winning one for several UPEI athletes. It‘s great to know that such work and dedication to a sport does not go unnoticed by people involved. all of'you. Our congratulations go out to There's only six weeks left to our year at UPEI so we may as well make it our best six weeks yet. It’s a great time to do all the things you wanted to do befbre you leave, especially if you are a Senior. This, believe it or not, is NOT directed to the topic of student apathy because as we all know, there is no such thing! Students please take notice that several jobs are no open in the Student Union for the year ’79—’80. It’s very inportant that these jobs be filled before the summer months so work can begin early and things will start very quickly in the fall. If'you're not sure what's involved, please ask someone who knows. That’s it for this week and we hope you enjoy the SUN! [ear Editor: I am presently a resident of Marian Hall and due to the “act of God" we were without power from Sunday afternoon until 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. It was unique.Sunday evening because of the absence of noise from stereos, radios and tele— visions. Everyone just sat around and shot the breeze; who cared, the power would be back on Monday morning. Well, it wasn't, and rumor hath it that maintenance "couldn't promise electricity but some sort of lighting would be provided". This statement was made after a requisition for candles was submitted and denied. Well, at seven o'clock anday night a generator was hooked up to Bernadine Hall to provide some written article. light for the girls'. residence. But this was only to light the halls, and again Marian Hall was forgotten about. What's done is done and nothing can be done to turn badt time. It was only my wish to let the other students, administration and pdolic 1mm how we, the residents of Marian Hall, feel about the treatment we continually receive, even though we pay the same fees as everyone else who stays in residence. Sincerely , A Powerhloving Student , Dear Editor: This letter is directed to the writer of the article on Mickey Place.
