Lewis. Mr. Lewis has for some time tried to union- ize all s_teel workers so that this new affiliation may mean trouble later on in the steel industry. In- ternational Tel and Tel for the first quarter reported 26 cents a share on the common stock. Yes- terdays market was not very en- couraging. The only thing to say in its favor is that volume did not increase and that the more volat- ile stocks held rather well. It is probable that the market will be irregular today and tomorrow and unless volume increase materially on the up-side we would continue to defer long commitments. Mt ’l.
