breakfast tables all the news that was
obtainable down to 2 o'clock a. m. of the
election throughout the Dominion. In
addition it gave full returns from every
polling division in Prince Edward Island
with ii. single exception. It was the `flr.~.t
newspaper to tell the news of this most
important election in full detail to the
people of Prince Edward Island. Not
being a party paper its reporteand re-
turns of the election were évenwithout
bias and are relied upon alike by men of
both parties as containing the exact facts
of the case as nearly as they could be
obtained.
In like manner the ISLAND GUARDIAN,
in advance of all other weekly journals
published in the Province, has carried
to its thousands of readers throughout
the Island the retulns of tlie-Dominion
election and of the Presidential election in
t,heUnited States aswell. Of these two
'momentous contests, affecting intimately
'all the inhabitants of North* America
between the Gulf of Mexico and the North
Pole, the first tidings was received by the
reading public of the Island through the
daily andwveekly editions of the,people’s
favorite journa.l,THE GUARDIAN.
In addition THE IsI.A:zD GUARDIAN Just
issued contains an impartial synoptical
report of the joint political meeting held
in Market Hall, Charlottetown, in which
P.E.Island Contingent, together with the

to this question, however, and that is the

sells its first issue of treasury shares very
cheap; ten cents per average, so if one
estimates from a basis of first cost he is
receiving all he way from 230 to 500 per
cent. on his actual case investiment. For
