Medical aid was sum- moned, and everything possible done, but to no avail, as God will- ed otherwise, and took his home where there is no suffering or pain. His beloved pastor, Father Le- Clair, administered the last rites of the Holy Roman Catholic Church of which he was a faithful member, having served as altar boy, and as a member of the choir in Seven Mile Bay for a number of years. He was of a quiet and cheerful disposition, and was ever ready needed. Mr. McGaughey attended the eleven o'clock mass on Sunday with his sister, at whose wedding he had acted as groomsman the week before. At 11.30 that even- ing he retired, with no complaint of not feeling well, as he plan- ned the following morning to go to Wellington to work for the C. N.R., with whom he had been employed for the past ten years, and was well liked by employers and employees alike, He will be missed in the home. where he was devoted to his mother and sisters.
