"Kit- ty Kitty Kitty" presented by mem- bers of the Irwin Christian Fellow- ship Group, Thurslay night kept the audience in a state of hilarity for more than forty five minutes. The play was under the direction of David Murphy and was present- ed for the benefit of members of the Group only. Ivan Darrach in the role of Wil- liam, a scheming uncle who tries to force his niece, Jane (Gaye Lancasterifto marry a than again- st her will, showed natural stage ability which kept the audience in an uproar with his unpredict- able antics. Mrs. Lancaster gave a ' portrayal of a young girl under the influence of her d ' hm uncle and her tears of broken hearted- ness at being separated from her true love seemed quite genuine. Roy Pursy with remarkable ver- satility doubled in the part of Jane's lover and the facticious Kit- ly. His ability to deceive his fian- cee while playing the part of a girl produced one of the highlights of the performance- Isobel Donald in the role of Kit- ty, a girl from the bright lights of New York, found herself an un- welcome visitor when she got caught up in a fast moving ser- ies of events which saw Uncle William simultaneously trying to marry off his niece and is hard- to-marry old maid sister. Believ- ing that th ehousehold had lost their senses, Kitty decides to take the next plane for New York. Miss Donald gave a realistic por- trayal of girl thoroughly confused with the strange situation. Her ag- gressiveness in demanding Vii- llam's attention and her unwilling- ness to become a part of what seemed a mm-sensical affair gain- ed for her the admiration of her audience. Frank Gosbse playing the part of Benjamin Moore, an aging bach- elor promised the hand of Jane. b quickly involved in the confused chain of events caused by Uncle William's scheming.
