The action was by Mr. Clarke against the de- fendants for a breach of the act for the regulation of railways. Hurry who is the servant of Mr. Holman—ignorant of the law—allowed his horses to run at large on the railway track without his master’s knowledge. They were both fined 25 cents and costs. There were two other cases settled out of court, one of which was for a malicious assault on a dog. Arthe Stipendiary Magistrate’s Court this forenoon, John Stenlake appeared on complaint of Francis Monaghan, for tres- pass. The nature of the trespass was, that Mr. Stanlake’s hens made frequentraids on Mr. Monaghan’s garden, and he wished to make Mr. Stanlake to ‘‘ keep his hens with- in himself in future.” The defendert was fined five cents and costs, and ordered, on next complaint of Mr. Monaghan, to pay a penalty of two dollars. The assault case of P. C. Connolly vs. J. H. Crowley, was dismissed with costs. A letter passed through the Charlotte- town post oflice yesterday, bearing the fol- lowing poetic address. The result of these diseases upon the masses of in- telligent and valuable people is most alarm- ing, making life actually a burden instead of a pleasant existence of enjoyment and usefulness as if ought to be. There is no good reason for this, if you will only throw aside prejudice and skepticism, take the ad- {vice of druggists and your friends, and try one bottle of Green’s August Flower. Your spoedy relief is certain. Millions of bettles of this medicine have been given away to try its virtues, with satisfactory results in every case. You can buy asample bottle for 19 cents to try. Three doses will re- lieve the worst case. Positively sold by all druggists on the Western Continent. Retraction of Slander. In the Supreme Court of Judicature.
