Dancing Condemned- Bosrrox, May 20,-'l‘l1eN:w England Moral Reform society is after those who dance. At a meeting held in Berkley temple this mornin_;, Dr. Rexford de- livered an address in which he dwelt upon the pumps and vanities of life, among: which he classed dancing. He thought modern dancing does much to encourage vice. The good old dignified minuet had many things to comment it to modes: people. The dancers 8to0'l at a respect- ful distauce from each other and there was no undue familiarity. Much of the modern dancing, he said, is positively in- decent. A modest young lady in society does not hesi rte in a public ball room to allow a strange man to put his arm around her and hug her, and she makes no pro- test. —-?—*: Baldness ought not to come till the age of or later. On the Cape Breton coast the catch was good at Port Hood and fair at Arichat; in Nova Scotia fair at Spry Bay and Port L-«tour and very good at Pubnico and Digby.
