Without going into party polities, the learned lecturer handled the subject of ‘‘Free Trade and Protection,” at great length, and in a masterly manner, show- ing deep thought and great research, and that he fully understood the questions on which he treated. He held the attention of the audience for upwards of an hour, while he fully explain- ed the subject, his words seeming to carry con- viction with them. When he was done every one felt that they had received a treat of a most interesting nature. A unanimous vote of thanks was tendered to Dr. McNeill for his able effort, which was suitably acknowledged. niente To the Antiseptic Inhaler Co. GENTLEMEN,— According to promise I write to inform you that yonr Inhaler has worked wonders in my case. I have only used it about two months and I find my difficulty entirely removed. I was troubled very much with a bronchial affection, accompanied with nasal catarrh which prevented me from sing- ing—a part of my profession. I tried yarious nostrums without relief, until I heard of ‘Butcher's Antiseptic Inhaler’ through a friend who had proved its etticicacy. I shall do all in my power to recommend a remedy which, tomy own knowledge, has been so beneficial in every case coming under my observ ation. Yours truly, Joan Howarp, Prof. of Music. Mr. Watson is Agent for the Inhaler, which can be seen at his Drug Store. ee ee ee ee Hymencal. Ix another column we chronicle the mar- riage of Mr. Arthur W. Holroyd and Miss Alice P. Jenkins, daughter of Dr. Jenkins, M. P., which took place at Milton yester- day. The day was as bright and beautiful as could be wished, and gave that good augury of future happiness which is ever looked for in clear and sunny skies, but which, in our opinion, the well-known good qualities of the bride and groom make much more certain than any suuny weather ean promise. Over the gateway leading to the church, a neat and pretty arch, with appropriate mottoes, testilied t ) the univer- sal esteem in which the *‘high contracting parties” are held by their neighbors in Milton. Inside, the “church fuli to ypver- flowing with friends from both town and country, showed their popularity in a man ner even more marked. ‘The groom proved no tardy one, being punctually in his place at the appointed bour, and a few minutes later the bride sppeared leaning on her father’s arm. As was to be expected, both looked extremely well. The groom was woll supported © the bride's brothers, Dr. 8. R. Jenkins oud Mr, L. W. Jenkins, and by Mr. Eustaco if. Aaviland, who seemed te b2 taking c irefal notes of the ceremony. In attendance on the bride were her sister, Miss Bertie Jenkins, Miss Daisy Hobsirk and the two Misses Hol- (‘ie cer@ mony ov er, the bra lal party adjourned to Upton, the ho spat ble coun try residence of De. Jenkins, waere the wedding breskfast was spre iil. After the usual toasts had baen duly honored and we lding eske distributel, the newly mar- ried couple drove away on their honeymoon, followed by showers of rice an ithe earnest good wishes of their friend 3, with w — we heartily juin in wishing them God speed im the new departure, which they os under aush bmpypy wnspicas . roy.
