At the request of the leaders in this parirh. Mr. W. F. Rose and Mr. John C. Peters. of St. Andrews were present. The meeting was presided over by Mr. John J. Campbell who intro- duced the speakers of the meeting. Mr. Rose the first speaker, urged the necexsity of the Study Clubs the only medium through which one may gain a clear and sound under- standing of the Co-operative mover ,' merit. He took as an example the sucoers of the movement in the St. I Andrews Parish which was brought about only by intense study iii the Study Clubs. He said whatsoever. He therefore, urged Union Charter until understanding and knowledge of the Act be gained by all the mem- bcrs. Mr. John C. Peters, second speaker. gave a brief outline of the Co-operatlve movement iii general. He also-said that the members should not undertake any C0- operatlve activity until it is first well understood by the members, each and every one when this method 1s adopted he said, we are on the right road to sound and true democracy.
