' Private Wire) Ngw Yodus, March 25—The mndon market is inactive and “any this morning. Reports irom London are that it will probably “minus inactive ' until Gar- mmy gives her answer to the sig- natories oi the Locarno Treaty re- nmurg a neutral police force in mrineland. Dramatically, news u mixed. The Electric Power out- put report cannot be published be- cause oi the influence of the floods m various sections oi the country on normal electric output. Crude on output increased last week 31,000 barrels daily. On the other hand, steel operatiom are showing 5 rapid recovery following the in- unruptlon by the floods. Anthrac- gm coal walkout has been post- ned for at least a month. Divi- dend meetings today are Gold Dust. Pacific Lighting and U. S. smelting. yesterday was the sixth day oi g very narrow range for the whole market. There is a great deal oi gkepilClfim about the market ag- gin. Considering the news it seems (,0 be giving a rather good account oi itself. However, until it defin- itely establishes a trend again we believe it will b: advisable to move cauilously. But as we point- ed out, there are still a number at stocks which look as though they would like to go ahead. MORNING STOCK LETTER Floor brokers were of the opin- ion ihat the small flurry on the downeide in the stock market yes- terday aiiernoon was largefy due to traders. In the morning stocks were for the most part strong and dull and evidently this dullness got on ihe nerves and they sold stocks. we believe there will be still but it ok to buy Mbntgomemy, Std. Oil iations higher and with this lack- ing stocks are sagging under light_ liquidation and generally display- ing a. very if little headway is being made in little carry-through on the down- side in the market at this time d that at the same time a pretty good demand will e t ior stocks ii they sell oii a litie further. Consequently, we would still be in- clined to buy selected stocks on small dips. At this time we believe oi New Jersey. td. Oil of Indiana and the Utilities, particularly 00l- umbia Gas and Cons. Gas. Texas Canadian Oil (lo-Con- tinues to bring in new producers in. the east Texas Oil field ac- cording to official word. Two more wells brought in yesterday. Com- pany has now '14 producers in the Texas Oil structure. MARKET COMMENT Both the mining and the indus- trial sections are currently dis- playing a lower trend and prices are quite low from this view- point Buying ot an investment calibre is still underlying the mar- ket but buyers are content to wait for stocks to come down to their level rather than reach for them. At present moment what appears to be lacking more than anything is some real incentive to carryiquo- listless appearance. European picture is still highly confused and at times-appears as straightening out the tangle be- tween Germany and France. An additional note of conservation made it: appearance in the re- ported Itaunn pact with Austria and Hungary and also nationaliz- ation by Mussolini of Italian in- dustry. =2‘ nuit-nu-u-nhn-u-o oooouonuouo' - Advertising Rates-Payable in Advance Central Guardian locals, 4o per war per word; Announcement: and Coml In per word; In Memorinm Notleru, spiritual Offnrlngl, Car-ah, elm, 4o per nnmer [letter-n oi Condolence 10r- per lnrhr Notice: of Thank: and Apprcolniio , 10o per inch or 4e per d: Wulern and Hauler-n loenln. £1- ng Event: 2o per word: Clanniiled 10o per inch; Lilia of Flornl and vvonl.
