Left: Agent J cautiously descends into the tunnels. He is wearing his good pants and does not want to get them dirty or torn. In retro- spect, he should have worn jump- suits like the other members of his party. Right: With the four explorers safe- ly in the tunnels, they put the man- hole cover back in place. They do this so as not to arouse any suspi- cion from any passing Mole People. With this done, they are ready to explore the tunnels. For years there had been rumours about the Mole People who lived in the underground tunnels that connected the buildings on the UPEI campus. Nobody had dared go into the tunnels for fear of being attacked and killed by the Mole People, a race of savage half-breeds which was created in a stranger-than-fiction experiment back in the early days of the Atlantic Veterinary College. There was no photographic evidence of their exis- tence, but one night four brave Cadre reporters decided to change that. Above Left: Agent M removes the cover from one of the many manholes which access the underground tunnels where the Mole People lay in wait- ing. There is danger even in this most simplest of tasks because Agent M must pay attention not to get his fingers crushed by the cover. Above: Agent X takes one last breath of clean air before he makes his descent into the black depths that the Mole People call their home. Left: Agent M makes his descent into where unknown dangers lurk.
