TeMParRaNce Attiance.—At the meet- ing of the Charlottetown Temperance Alliance last evening a discussion arose as to whether provincial prohibition or local option law would be better for Charlottetown. It was considered best to hold a meeting of the joint committees of the Provincial and Charlottetown branches of the Alli auce at an early date in order to agree on the most effective and practical prohibitory measure,—euch a measure as would be likely to receive the legislative support of members who are in sympathy with temperance on either side of the Houee. ———_— PERSONAL.
