Phillip Mac- Nally while assisting in hauling a. building from Reads Corner to Summer-side for Mr. Willis Warren had the misfortune to lose a horse. ‘Iheze were forteen other temis helping with the work. The horse became entangled in the harness and was thrown to the ground and did not regain his footing. He died within a. short time after the accident. Miss Dvyle was most highly esteemed by all classes of citizens and her many deeds of kindness will long be remembered. She was the daughter of the late Pierce Doyle and Joanna Doyle of Sum- merslde. Her mother's maiden name was Sullivan. He: father was a. noted contractor and built many public buildings in Summer- side including the Post Office and St. Mary's Convent. Miss Doyle has resided for the past 36 years with her sister, Mrs. J. J. McNalLY. living with her at Miscouche and later lni summersidef She was e devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and was very active in all church work. Their destination was the hospitable homo of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur MacEwen, where they held the regular meeting. The C. G. I. T. program, set apart for the day of prayer, was used instead of the usual devotional exercises. Miss Jean Wright gave an interesting reading on St. Valentine. Valen- tine contests and games were heartily enjoyed. A sing song and refreshments brought the pleasant program to a close.
