A public meeting attended by 50-60 people was held in Tracadie Cross on Jan. 12 to discuss proposed management alternatives for the protection of the dune system at Deroche Point. The general feeling of the meeting indicated that local residents desired that no management activities be undertaken at present. It is hoped that a local group of citizens will form in the near future to liase with the Nature Trust on matters of mutual concern.
