There passed away on July 26th, 1917 one of the oldest and most re spected residents of Covehe-sd Road ili the person of Mrs. Johanna Power at_ _the‘advanced age of 76. The de- ceased had been in telling health for the‘past few months, and in spite of s.ll that medical skill and tender care could do her spirit went forth on the above mentioned date to meet ber Re' deemer in whose footsteps she so closely followed while on earth. She was a loving mother and a kind and charitable woman and will 'be' greatly missed in the home and also in the vicinity in which she lived. 'ln her last illness she was attended by her kind pastor Rev. Fr. Maclntyre and received al lthe comforts of her re- ligion. Her funeral tool: place on Saturday morning to St. Eugene's Church where s. high mass ot requl em was offered up for the repose of her soul. Besides a large circle of relatives and friends there are left to mourn one daughter ami three sons.
