under section 13 of the Act Edward VII,
Cap. 8, being An Act to amend the
Prohibition Act. 1900, and the amend-

It is understood that the Senator claims

dqllars from the Mlior and Alderman for
loss sustained by, him in connection with
the burning ofhis mill, claiming that the
town is not properly supplied with fire
appliances and that the money voted for
this purpose had been appropriated for

The express was struck by a train of

rence Dunbar, the poet of tha negro race,
died at his home here of consumption.

Mr. Dunbar was born in Dayton,
.Tune 27, 1872. He was firsta news-

writing. His first poem was written
when he was seven years old. His

“Oak and Ivy," lils best known poem
was “When Msiindy Sings," which
was written to his mother, whose name is
