P. rbley of sums-nerside. proprietor of! the Riley Dnig Co.. was elected president of the Prince Edward Island Pharmaceutical As- sociation at the 45th annual meet- ing held in Summerslde yesterday. other officers elected for the com- ing year were. Vice-President. Douglas Nicholson. Alberton; Treasurer. Roy Boates. summer- slde. secretary. R. H. Jenkins. Charlottetown; Directors Henry W. Wedge. J. E. Dalton, J, E. Worth. The morning session opened with the president. .1. E. H. Worth in the chair and seven members present. In his opening remarks Mr. Worth expressed his pleas- ure at the large representation present and he introduced the following members. R. H. Jenkins. secretary, Ki. E. Giszey. Treasurer. R. M. Smallman. J. E. Dalton. H. W. Wedge. E. P. llbley. Routine business was the order of the morning and when the af- ternoon ' opened President Worth called for reports 0! the various oificers which were sub- mitted by the secretary. R. H. Jen- kins. In his report Mr Worth pre- sented a comprehensive review of the past. year. dealing with the Pharmacy Act. the Canadian Foundation of Pharmacy, health insurance and Government health plan. He extended greetings and welcome to those who had in the past year opened new drugstores in the Province. Mr. J. E. Dalton of Summerside replied lo the report of the presi- dent and thanked the various members of the board for their excellent reports.
