Susan Knickle- A key player, | she will have the job of taking over the first guard spot from Ria Bahadursingh. Her ability to run the team’s offence will be a key to their success. Stephanie Kinckle- The team’s most improved player last year could be a big help for Nichols under the boards. Could | also provide some inside scoring. AVAILABLE Rest of the Lady Panthers Nadine Enman— A_ valuable player last year when she filled in for an injured Tracy MacEachern. Should see increased playing time this year. One of the Lady Pan- thers tallest players, at 5711”. Paula Edwards- Could be a key player filling the gap left by . MacEachern. Remains to be seen if the year off will effect her play. Has looked good in the early pre- season. Toby Jones-~ A second year could see increased time with the departure of Bahadursingh. Cathy Quinn-— Highly-touted rookie from Charlottetown Rural. Head Coach Dave MacNeill- Dave MacNeill says the upcom- ing year will be a transition year of sorts. “It will be very diffi- cult to be as good as we were last year. If we are to be as successful as the past two years our rookies will have to play as well as the 5th year players we lost. That will be very difficult. Dalhousie will be very strong. They have every- body back.” MacNeill says the return of Paula Edwards will be a big help. “ Paula was a All—Canadian at one time and certainly has the capabilities of being an All- Canadian again. If she plays well that will go a long way to filling the shoes of the players we lost.” The Lady Panthers strength this year will be their depth says MacNeill. “ You usually get 5 great games a year from a player. With more depth that means you have more people to get 5 great games from. We'll just take the year one game at a time and try to win them all” sein sere? .
