It was a revelation to some to see a piece 5f clean wood dyed and finished inside of half an hour. The varied affects pro- duced by these dyes on different woods was very pleasing. A feature of these dyes and finishes which commended itself to those present, was the rap- idity with which they could be used and the lasting effects of the stains. A correspondent from Calgary writes that L. E. McRae of Calgary, formerly of Found's Mills, has re- turned to Calgary after a pleasant visit to Vancouver and other coast cities.
