The home of Mrs. 0. C. Dickie, on
Milton Avenue, Summerside, was the
scene of e, happy gathering on Wed-
nesday evening when about twenty-
five of the intimate friends of Mrs.
Chester Palmer were the guests of
Mn Dickie on the occasion or Mn.
Palmer`s fortleih wedding anniver-
sary. After the guests had extended
congratulations to the guest of hon-
our, an address was read by Mrs. C.
B. .lelly to which the bride relpond-
ed. Mrs. Dickie and Mrs. A. P. Jam-
ieson then presented Mrs. Palmer
with a lovely solid walnut magazine
rank and end table to match. Mn.
Palmer expressed her pleasure and
thanks for the lovely gifts and good
wishes, all of which was a complete
surprise to her. Mrs. Colin Stewart
rendered a solo in her usual fine
form. and Mrs. A. P. Jamieson gave
a reading. The remainder oi the
evening was spent in social chat.
Dainty refreshments were served hy,
the hostess, assisted by some oi the
lediea. The ceremony of “bouncing
the bride" and singing in chorus
"For She’a u Jolly Good Fellow,"
brought the memorable evening to a
