SOEPTEEER 30, 1947 Northwest Queens S S Convention The annual Sunday School con- vention for the North West Queens district met at the Wheatley River United Church on Monday. Sep- tember 15th.. I947. Theme:—"'!‘o him who hath will be given." The convention was opened with the worship service in charge of Fairview Baptist Sunday School. Hymns sung were "Jesus Keeps Me Near The Cross" and I Need Thee Every Hour." Scripture reading "The Parable of the Bower", Matt. 13: l-9. Prayer by Rev. Dr. Gibson. The President thanked the Falrview Sunday School for the Worship Service. The business session was open- ed by calling on the Secretary Treasurer to read the minutes of the last convention and the finan- cial statement allocation of e50. was reached. These were passed on motion duly seconded and agreed to. Thanks was extended to the secretary treasurer for her report and statement. A nomination com- mittee was appointed and is as bllows: Mr. Harold Chandler, Wheatfey River, Mr. Gordon Car- ew, Hunter River, Rev. W. B. Mac- Phall, Breadalbane. Also a resolu- tion committee: Rev. J. I. Morri- son, Hunter River, Mrs. D. J.' Mor- rison, Breadalbane and Mr. Wm. Dorks Hunter River. The secretary meeting held at Hunter River on March 11th.
