HUMAN STORY A love of a picture, with a heart- and-laugh story to make you sing out with joy! That's "COME 113 THE STABLE", the outstanding movie attraction at the Prince En. ward Theatre starting to-day. Here is a picture that will tickle your risibilitics and at the same time tug at your heart. Clare Booth Luce turned successfully from her playwriting to fashion a story about two French nuns. who come to America to erect a much- nceded children's hospital, that. will till everyone who sees it with a renewed faith in humanity. She has icavened this basic theme of faith with light-hearted comedy and human interest touches that lift it far above ordinary ilim fare. "Come To The Stable" is an ex- perience in the theatre that must not be missed. There is a laugh and a tear in it for every member of the family. Director Henry Kos- ter and Producer Samuel G. Engel never let their screen play become pedantic but rather directed it un- errlngiy toward the down-to-eui entertainment value: with which it abounds. No better choice for the two nuns than Loretta Young and Cel- este Holrn could have been made. After watching their tcnder per- formances as Sister Margaret and Sister Schoiaatlca it is easy to understand why both young ladies have Academy Oscars on their mantlepieces.- Hugh Marlowe. as the Hollywood song writer. and Elsa Lanchester. the American painter of religious scenes. who opens up her stable studio to the ambitious Sisters. help speed along the spirited action and Thomas Gomez',role of the New York gangster fumlshee a vivid contrast. Many of the extremely humorous situations in the picture develop when the uneuspecting Sisters come in contact with the sordid methods of gangland and angle with New York traffic cope and the unfamiliar ways of Ameri- can life. The way they drive a jeep, for example. is one of the funny highlights of the illm. But Sister Margaret and Sister Schol- utlca are equal to every occasion. They have but one goal-that of building a hospital for children- and they overcome ovary obetede that is placed in their way. .
