Immediately a bucket brigade was ionrned which was responsible for saving the house and furniture. The origin oi the fire is unknown. but is definitely thought to have started in the barnloft. Mr. McCarron had come from the barn only a short time before and had noticed no indica- tic-n of fire. Within a few minutes, however, the whole barn loft was on fire and in a short time the building was beyond saving and the fire had spread to some other buildings. Fortunately 311 Zhg live. stock was saved except one pig, although the whole grain drop was lost. It was estimated that the actual loss would be around $6,000. The sympahy oi all is extended to ‘Mt.
