MOR HOCKEY.-“Rollin” Nor- man, the former Moncton player, re cently of Charlottetown, says s Moncton exchange, came in' from Halifax on Nc. 33 express Thursday evening. I-1e_ absolutely denied the story published in a local paper to the effect that Harbey Richardson had his leg broken Tuesday night as a result of a cross-check from a play- er on the Halifax team. He said that Scott was the player who had upset Richardson and that Richardson was thrown down hy a square body check. The fracture was the result of the awkward position in which he fell, with his leg doubled under him. Norman's story is horns out by the account of the a.ccident'in the Mall. It is exceedingly unfortunate that the “cross-checking" story should have been publicity through the press, since it appears to be en- tirely inaccurate. The local manage- ment is said to be negotiating with the former Moncton player with c view to getting him back with the Vlcs for the remainder of the ses- son. Norman, however, would not say, that any definite arrangement had been made between himself and the Vis management.
