The Colonial Rifle Competition will take place on Thursday and Friday, the 13th and 14th of August next. Two Ranges. at 200 and :600 yards. Five shots at each Range. Standing position at the first, kneeling or standing at the last. ’ Ties shall fire one shot at the longest range until the best shot shall be returned. . A Medal granted bycthe National Rifle Association, will accompany the first prize. One competitor will be allowed for every ten men, on the effective strength of each company. The firing shall be conducted in accOrdance with the regulations of the School of Musketry at Ilythe. V,No ’other Rifles to be used but the long- or short Enfield. ,, Every Competitor who tails to score 9 at the 200 yards’ range, will be disqualified from further compe- tttion. The Competitors will assemble at the Rifle Range, 'at 9 o’clock. a. In. Each Company to be provided with a nominal Roll of its Competitors. The order of firing will he decided by lot. Regulations for the all-Comers’. and other prizes, will be published on the Spot. All disputed points shall be finally decided by the umpires, appointed by His Excellency the Commander— in-Chief. An Otiicer shall be appointed to take command of all. who may assemble to compete for the prizes. and main- tain order and discipline on the field. No member of a Company that has received clothing, will be admitted to compete. who does not appear on the ground complete in his Military Clothing and Equipments. ; By order, G. W.
