Suare Insuraxce WEN —A deputation of insurance men recently visited Ottawa to urge upon the government the licensing of insur- ance solicitors. The visit and the subject broached caused no comment at the time, and apparently seemed to have passed into ob- livion. However upon subsequent enquiry it was found that the insurance men, under cover fof an apparently innocent regulation for safeguarding their interests, hope, if their suggestion is adopted by the government, to wipe our of existence all fraternal assessment insurance associations now doing business in Cansda. A Trvety Move —We understand that report of all dogs in the city. The Magis- trate is doing this as constant complaints are being made of the deg nuisance. As goon as this report is in, section 10 of the city by law will be enforced to the tune of possibly 500 dogs—a good riddance.
